My hypothesis is the problem is a driver conflict. Try checking the database logs and let me know if it helps.
SystemAdmin: Completely agree — I had the same issue and solved it by updating the driver. Took me a while to locate that setting.

Totally frustrated too — automation lag is frustrating. What worked for me was adding a repeater.
